How can we help you succeed?
Our project vision is to provide collaborative student support services to the school’s curricula, course materials, trainings, and research activities that are inclusive, accessible, gender-affirming, and cognizant of the impacts on students and others of marginalized identities as a mean to foster inclusion and promote student success.
Monthly Workshops & Small Group Discussions
Designed to provide students with ongoing support, education, and resources to promote mental well-being, raise awareness about mental health issues, and create a safe space for open conversations. These sessions aim to reduce stigma, offer coping strategies, and foster a sense of community among students who may be struggling with mental health challenges.
Fuel Up! Food Access Program
This program ensures that all students, regardless of financial background, have the necessary food to meet their basic needs, thereby promoting their overall well-being and academic success. Key features of the Food Access Program include: food pantry, weekly meal and/or local market vouchers. This comprehensive support system addresses food insecurity as a barrier to success, encouraging all students to stay healthy, perform well academically, and engage fully in university life.
Personal, Academic, and Career (PAC) Rehabilitation Counselor
Rehabilitation counseling services aim to empower university students with disabilities or other challenges by helping them achieve academic, career, and personal goals. These services provide tailored support to address the unique needs of students and enhance their participation and success in higher education. Rehabilitation counseling services in a university setting play a vital role in fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where all students can thrive academically and personally.
We offer professional psychological services to support students’ social, emotional, and academic well-being. Our specialized assistance ensures early identification and intervention for students facing challenges. A licensed psychologist will select, administer, and interpret intelligence, personality, and other psychological assessments to diagnose disorders and develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, we provide expert consultation to other mental health professionals regarding test results, fostering a collaborative approach to student support. In times of crisis, the psychologist will deliver immediate intervention to address urgent psychological concerns. Through personalized guidance, our services aim to enhance academic performance, foster social integration, and promote overall student success in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Social Work
Provides essential support to students facing challenges that impact their academic, personal, and social lives. These services aim to enhance student well-being, address barriers to success, and promote an inclusive campus environment. These services play a vital role in addressing the holistic needs of university students. By bridging gaps in resources and advocating for student well-being, these services help create a supportive and thriving campus community.
