NC-SARA Accreditation at Atlantic University
Atlantic University has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). This voluntary agreement allows us to offer distance education programs and courses to students in member states and territories without having to go through a separate licensing or approval process in each authorized state. This simplifies the process for promoting our academic offerings across the country.
Professional Licensure Disclosure for Out-of-State Distance Education Students
It’s important to understand that NC-SARA does not affect state professional licensing requirements. If Atlantic University offers programs or courses designed to lead to professional licensure or certification, or advertises them as such, we must meet all federal disclosure requirements regarding these programs. For NC-SARA purposes, these requirements also apply to institutions and programs not covered by Title IV.
International Students
NC-SARA does not extend to countries outside the United States. Therefore, Atlantic University cannot determine whether our academic programs meet licensure requirements outside the United States. If you are an international student, we strongly encourage you to ascertain the educational requirements for licensure in your home country before enrolling.
